Choosing my April favourites for make up was quite easy. I seem to have stayed with the same brand this month, Lily Lilo. I do adore this brand. It has a good selection of make up and colours. It’s also very reasonably priced and is on par with general high street make up, this is a HUGE factor for me. I’m sure, like quite a lot of others, I do like to have a wide selection to choose from. Lily Lilo fits the bill perfectly. The simple black and white designs are fresh and simple, looking great on your dressing table.
If I was stranded on a desert island…you know the question! It would be mascara. Love it. Cant live without it. Finding a natural mascara that I liked and of affordable price has taken sometime, but this Lily Lilo mascara is great. It gives good coverage and lasts well. I’m always on the look out for mascara’s to try, so if you know of any great natural mascara’s, let me know below.
The Lily Lilo natural eye pencil is probably the best of all my items. This is a fab pencil. I have it in brown. It glides across the skin giving rich coverage with ease.
I have the “Laid Bare” eye palette. This has eight sumptuous colours in one palette. Varying from the palest beige colours up to deep intense charcoal. If you like the gold/brown eye colours then you can’t go wrong with this one. They apply well and have great pigment.
Brows have taken off in a big way in the last few years. I have had to learn a new way of doing mine. I have quite fair brows which I never thought about until suddenly brows were everywhere. The Lily Lilo Eyebrow duo is perfect. One side is powder to fill in gaps and then the other side is a wax to hold the brows in place. I bought the Lily Lilo spoolie brush to use with it.
My April favourite once again, for lips, is Lily Lilo. The Lily Lilo natural Lipstick comes in 11 shades. I have had this for a while now and the colour is Temptation. On looking at the website I can no longer see this colour on their chart. It is a great colour though! This is a nice creamy lipstick that is not drying and has great lasting power for a natural lipstick. I have found that natural lipsticks tend to not have as long a lasting time, but I’m ok with that for something natural and better for me. I recently did a review of the PHB lipstick, if you are looking for another natural brand to check out.
My April favourite for face has to be PHB Botanical BB Cream. I love the way this goes onto my skin. It’s easy to use. I know PHB at this present moment are remaking this product and it’s not available to buy. If I were to criticise this, the pump is an absolute nightmare. When you pump the cream into your hand it never goes into your hand! My bedroom has been covered with these splodges of BB cream as they shoot across the room! Very infuriating. Sometimes I felt that the pump expelled far too much product out too. BUT it seems PHB is tackling these problems which is great as the BB cream is fantastic and its the one “go to ” product for me.
I love make up. It’s great that I can do an April favourite all about natural products for this. Dont forget to check out my April favourites skincare too! If you know of any great organic/natural make up brands that don’t cost the earth I would love to hear about them.
